It’s all fur & pink noses

I woke up in the wee hours this morning to a bundle of fur in the crook of my neck. He was so sweet, warm & loving.. even with paws all over my face I still enjoyed it.

Evidently, Rocky settled in just fine, infact, he pretty much rules the roost right now.

It’s been really hard seeing Miss Toonces hate on him, aswell as us for that matter.

The plan was that he would stay downstairs with a baby gate to stop him coming into her space, well of course that didn’t last long, even with the big angry cat on the other side. We live in an open plan apartment you see, so there is no separate room..

Rocky is scared of nothing. Every time Miss T sees him she turns into a hissy ball of fur. It doesn’t faze him whatsoever, I’m pretty sure it even endears him to her! If she turns her back to him, he does a full on sprint to her… No wonder she’s so cautious wondering around the house now. Really, she’s just got to get over it, & she will, but it’s still really sad that she’s so angry & maybe even scared of him. Talking to her isn’t going to help either, obviously, she doesn’t know what we’re saying.

So the original plan has completely turned. Rocky is up here & Miss T is down there like the leper in the basement. It’s upset both of us, especially as we hadn’t exactly planned for this scenario. But it will get better. Even this morning things seemed a little less tense & she was walking around the room, trying Rocky’s food.. thankfully he just sat on the bed with me & watched her… it didn’t take long before he did the butt wiggle & jumped off the bed to run to her though!

It’s sure been some weekend.

Did I mention he likes to shower with mommy? Like I said, this one is scared of nothing.

  1. He is absolutely precious! I love how your cat likes to shower – that is adorable. Your children will soon learn to love each other or just learn to love to drive you crazy with their quarrels.

I miss my cat so much. I want a cat. Cats understand me. I believe, cats do understand you too.
